Hidden cameras or covert cameras offer an
undetected way of keeping tabs on the nanny or care giver, making sure
your children or loved ones are treated well. Other uses include theft
monitoring of employees, roommates or housekeepers. Whatever your need
may be we carry hidden cameras ranging from simple wired concealed
cameras to fully integrated covert cameras with built-in recorders. If
you are looking strictly for hidden cameras with built-in recorders be
sure to check out our line of DVR Cameras.

When shopping for hidden cameras things you want to consider:
Do you just want to view what is happening or record it for latter viewing? Some tiny hidden cameras come with built-in recorders otherwise you will need to purchase some type of recorder if you don't already have one. Here is one we recommend for up to 4 cameras: 4 Channel Hybrid Video Recorder.
Do you want a wireless camera or a cheap wired camera. A wireless camera or Wi-Fi camera has no visible video cables and can transmit the video signal to another room where you could have your wireless router or recording device with a wireless receiver, however the wireless option will add to the price but does make it difficult to trace down the recorder. Usually with a little thought you can adequately hide the video wire running to a recorder and you do not run the risk of video interference from other wireless devices.
Will the covert camera blend into the room or area? The purpose is to not draw attention to the camera. We also carry small spy cameras with pinhole lenses that only need about a 1/16 of an inch opening to view an entire room. They can be hidden in or behind everyday items you already have making them very difficult to find. They generally will need to be plugged into a recording device to capture the video but with a little thought setting one up is not that difficult.
Do you have an outlet nearby to power the camera? Some tiny cameras can run on batteries for short term but most will require power from an outlet for long term use. If running cables from the camera to a video recorder you can simply use a video/power cable and power the camera from the video recorder's location..
How much light is in the area? Black and white cameras will generally provide a better picture in low light. For low or no light situations you could use a light that turns on with motion providing a color camera the light it needs to produce a good image. You can also use infrared cameras but most use IR LEDs that will have a slight visable red glow that may draw attention.
