Description

The 900 MHz frequency has greater penetrating power than 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz and the signal will not be affected by them. The PD9-800 transmitter set has 4 channels to choose from and can send clear images 1000 to1200 ft. when there are no obstructions in the path and both units are at least 12 to 15 feet off the ground. However this doesn't mean you won't get a signal if they need to be mounted lower it will just reduce the distance.

The PD9-800 can pass through walls and vegetation better than the higher analog frequencies which makes it a good choice when non-line of sight is an issue. It is difficult to predict how far the signals can go without line of sight since every obstruction can reduce the signal strength differently. You can increase the range of the signal in both line of sight and non-line of sight situations by replacing the existing omni-directional antennas with directional high gain types.
