The G4-M-DVD is a commercial grade digital video
recorder utilizing MPEG-4 hardware compression. The G4-M-DVD is
able to record high resolution images in the D1 (720x480) format, Half D1
(720x240), or standard resolution images in the CIF (352x240) format.
The on screen setup of the G4-M-DVD mimics the
simplicity of a VCR. The ease of use ensures a quick install, reduced
service calls and operator errors.
The USB port allows video and images to be saved to a USB
flash drive or external CD-RW/DVD-RW for simple data transfer. File player
software is automatically copied to the media upon backup. The included
DVD/CD writer allows for larger files to be copied to a CD or DVD for
later viewing. Up to 7 hours of video can be copied using DVD media. The
network backup feature employs TCP/IP for full file and hard drive backup.
Remote viewing, playback, and backup are all standard on
the G4-M-DVD. The embedded web server enables users to perform all
these remote function via an Internet Explorer web browser, eliminating
the need to install software. Audio over the Internet is also standard on
the G4-M-DVD. DDNS support utilizing
G4IP.com allows for free dynamic IP
support and connectivity for remote Internet access.
Up to 2 terabytes of storage can be installed in the unit,
providing years or recording under proper recording parameters. Individual
file locking and deletion is also available to preserve specified data
while the unit is set to overwrite old data.
Ease of use, high performance, and DVD backup set the
G4-M-DVD apart from many standalone systems.
