The most distinctive characteristic of this SMG (sub machine gun) is the integrated silencer assembly that occupies two-thirds the entire length of the gun. Slightly scaled down from the real SD3, this special forearm has an extended tube and a serrated and contoured forward grip. This tube does adds some 6 1/2 inches to the front of the gun, but unlike the real gun, this silencer houses a true AirSoft barrel, which effectively adds accuracy and some 30 to 60 additional feet per second to the BB velocity. Making the UHC SD3 one of the most accurate and powerful spring-guns in their entire line. The silencer tube can be removed to make a short yet standard-sized MP-5 sub gun if the shooter chooses without much sacrifice in performance. Apart from this distinction, Unicorn Hobbies has faithfully copied all surface details as well as functional features found on the real MP-5 such as the easy-grasping charging handle, detachable high capacity magazine, selector lever, rotating diopter rear sight, and contoured trigger grip. The telescoping stock is a convenient part that adds stable and precise shooting when extended or when retracted will make the gun more compact and easier to maneuver with. Altogether, this makes the UHC SD3 a very diverse AirSoft gun that delivers.
